Good location, quiet room, good breakfast
Small room , small shower area
The owner is very kind. The room was deffinatly clean and in general good condition. Every day clean towels and bathroom! The breakfast was delicious and big enough to hold us until meal (also the best cappucino ;):d). The location is close to the centre, also to Metro station and tram. Beautiful bilding! I recomend it and I will visit it again..
Excellent location, 10 minutes from the main city sights. You can find the bank, the small cafe with gelato (!) and the supermarket on the opposite side of the hotel street.
Dear receptionists, you are so nice when smiling:)! I hope also you'll find the opportunity to give the city map to each guest:).
The hotel is in a good location, next to the tram and very close to the metro station. The bed-sheets were nice and clean.
The room was not nice. It wasn't properly cleaned, except from the sheets-towers. The flush in the toilet was a bit broken so there was a water-running sound all night. We didn't even use the shower as it was so small, quite dirty and old. So we preferred to go home in order to have a proper shower! Not spacious for 3 people. It was a budget hotel, but I think it should be better for the money we paid (75 euros). I think it needs renovation and maintenance.
Did not like.
Tiny room, dirty walls, noisy, smelly. Didn´t like at all. Changed hotel and city after one night. Really expensive ! I´d give no more than one star.
Perfect location very close to the centre, good connection to the transportation (underground, trams, buses), some personal staff very communicative and nice
Poor breakfast. Room turned to the street - noisy room all the night !!! Some personal staff was not very communicative
The Hotel was in a great location, walking distance to Milan centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, there was adequate space for two people.
Unfortunately it was rather hot during my stay and the air conditioning didn't work in our room. The shower was also not very powerful, but it did the job.
The location of the hotel was very good and convenient. The hotel itself, even though not the cleanest, is a good place to stay for the night, if you don't spend much time in it. Wi-fi was for free!
The room had windows to the sunny side and there was no ac, so it was very hot in the room with no air to breathe.
I and my wife stated here in the month of June this year , while we spent am week in Milan. We were looking for a budget accomodation which has very good accessibility to commute. This place fitted our needs to perfection. Hotel Atena offers a value for money accomodation. It is well connected to the Metro network with the Red Line station PTA Venezia about a 5 minute walk from the place. It also has a tram #9 that will take you to Cetntrale. The tram station is right in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is a very nice place, nothing great but offered a very practical solution to your needs in Milan. The staff is courteous and the morning breakfast is just enough to energise you in the morning. Over all a nice option for one to stay if you are spending a week in Milan and if you are on a budget.
The room was very clean, basic and nice breakfast - very good value
The hotel was difficult to find initally. The staff were not that nice though and were not very helpful about showing you places to visit in Milan and there was no information at the hotel about any of the tourist places to visit in Milan
The walls in my room were incredibly dirty, with large cracks and holes. They have a real nerve renting a room in that condition
The patio inside was very nice and green. There was kind of a consierge after the front door. There was a possibility to keep bycicle or baby tram downstairs. They serve prosciutto\raw parma ham for breakfast! The bar is just 20 meters away. There is an osteria on the other side of the Viale Piave, where we had wine, parmezan and ham again. We walk to Duomo\Via Spiga\VIa Vittorio Emmanuele by foot.
There was moscuitos in our room (september). A lot of them. The guy on the reception gave us spray, but it was no use. So we bought electric device in the nearest farmacia. And take your own slippers.
Very poor noise isolation, was almost impossible to sleep calmly.
For the price it is excellent hotel. Near to the city center, 20 min from the railway station. For the price, breakfast was normal.
I was travelling with my mom and I have to say that we were both very happy with the hotel. Location was amazing, rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was very good and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We especially liked the staff. There was a very polite male receptionist who is also the owner of the hotel who was very nice to us and very helpful.
